export development

Unlike commodities trading, where we focus on products, our export development services is much broader and is very focused on removing barriers that hinder African companies from exporting their products.

Some of the barriers that we assist our clients to overcome includes issues of quality, financing solutions, marketing and distributing solutions as well as international trade policy changes.

The biggest barrier to Africa’s exporting potential being realized is international trade policy.

To resolve these policy challenges we will usually engage the governments of both the importers and exporters to create solutions, such as resolving issues of quality and safety of products.

This will usually mean upgrading the production processes with new methods, machines etc. At this stage, we usually bring in some of our investment banking and/or consulting teams to build practical and working solutions, so the client is able to achieve the desired results.
